Alice Springs Baptist Church has its foundations in the American Faith Baptist Mission, who had set up in Alice Springs in the mid 1960’s out of the Queensland Branch under Reverend Pike. The mission agreed in its early days to hand governance over to its fledgling congregation of 4 couples, who in turn established the independent Alice Springs Baptist Church. Aligning with the Baptist Churches of South Australia, the first stage of the (then) new Church building in East Side was opened in 1970.

From these very humble beginnings, the Alice Springs Baptist Church outgrew its facilities several times over the years, adding on halls, extending its main worship space, and finally in 2005 sold its existing buildings and purchased a large industrial property in Ciccone, developing a new multifunctional church facility consisting of a 500 seat auditorium, large hall and kitchen facilities, multi-function rooms and office complex.
