The Good Samaritan
(Luke 10:25-37) Jesus often taught in parables, stories that would connect with his listener's experiences and help explain important truths. Some of these parables were simple and easy to understand, but others are a little bit more complex. Tonight, Gavin unpacks one of these complex parables - The Parable of The Good Samaritan as Jesus explores what it means to love your neighbour as yourself.

As we read through the Gospels we see Jesus employing the use of parables regularly as he taught. Stories that helped to get his point across using the images and ideas of the time. While at first glance some of these parables seem to have a simple conclusion, often there is complexity layered into what Jesus was teaching. Over the next 3 weeks we will be exploring 3 of these complex parables and what they mean for us today
