In the second of our complex parables, John Hitchen unpacks a very famous parable. The Fair and Generous Land Owner. Here our sense of fairness and earning wages is challenged by the generous nature of God.
As we read through the Gospels we see Jesus employing the use of parables regularly as he taught. Stories that helped to get his point across using the images and ideas of the time.
While at first glance some of these parables seem to have a simple conclusion, often there is complexity layered into what Jesus was teaching.
